The Atlanta Guardians, a team of active duty military, veterans, and first responders, issued a challenge to the Chattahoochee Valley Warriors.
On Friday, May 16, the Warriors evened the score with Atlanta, who defeated the Warriors at the Veterans Day Classic.

The Chattahoochee Valley Warriors, along with 3 other teams in the US, were chosen to participate in the 5th Annual Veterans Showcase. The event, hosted by Navy Federal Credit Union, with support by the NHL, was held in Columbus, Ohio.
Veterans were given an opportunity to skate on outdoor NHL ice at Buckeye Stadium, meet NHL Hall of Famers, compete in 2 exhibition games, and attend the Outdoor Series game between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Detroit Red Wings.
During the third period of the Stadium series contest, participants of the Veterans Showcase were taken to the field and acknowledged in front of an at-capacity crowd of over 93,000 fans.
